What a Difference a Year Makes!

Wow, what a difference a year makes. At this time last year, Dolphins fans were still hoping for their team's first win of the season. It was a horrible season that tested the very heart of a TRUE FIN FAN! Then came possibly the best hiring decision owner Wayne Huizenga has ever made. Hiring Bill Parcells as V.P. of Football operations.

Parcells quickly fired general manager Randy "Bonehead" Mueller and hired Jeff Ireland to fill his spot. Parcells and Ireland then made the decision to hire Tony Sparano as head coach and the rest is history.

While I never expected much more than maybe two or three wins from the Fins this season, with the departure of LB Zach Thomas and DE Jason Taylor, as well as others from the team, my attitude changed with the sudden signing of hated rival and recently released quarterback Chad Pennington.

My expectations rose to a possibility of a 6-10 record. How could they win anymore than that with the majority of the team basically no names even to Fin Fans?

With the resurgence of Joey Porter on defense and the unorthodox Wildcat offense, this team has already surpassed my expectations with the potential of having a winning season. Not bad after we went 1-15 last year!

This Miami Dolphins’ team has shown they have heart and they can be a contender for at least a playoff spot. This maybe a rebuilding year, but it’s a rebuilding year that may result in a winning record.

Go Fins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
